Activities in Oct and Nov 2008

1st and 2nd Oct 2008

HINDRAF invites all democracy loving citizens- come join us to inaugurate this Democratisation "Revolution" process by visiting the PM on the ;
1st day of Hari Raya, 11 am onwards at his open house in PWTC, Kuala Lumpur and thereafter
2nd day of Hari Raya, at his open house in Kepala Batas, Pulau Pinang for the northern region.

Hari Raya open house is the only day the commoners- where the peasant, fishermen, labourers, technicians, engineers, doctors, lawyers would be able face him and look into his eyes on a one to one basis.

Let us all look into his eyes and make the demand to free Malaysia from the clutches of UMNO authoritarian rule. Let us look into his eyes and demand that he repeal ISA. Let us look into his eyes and demand the immediate release of all ISA prisoners. Let us look into his eyes and demand that he governs with humanity and public interest at heart.

This HARI RAYA open house is not a day to beg but DEMAND what justly belongs to all-democracy loving Malaysians.

Let us look into his eyes and make a forceful HARI RAYA wish- a wish to transform this beloved country into a truly democratic society equal, just and fair to all.

1st and 2nd Oct 2008- HINDRAF supporter's of at least 10,000 in each state to attend the Hari Raya Open house in their respective Menteri Besar's houses or the state level open day and make the similar pledge to release all ISA detainees and listen to Hindraf 18 demands.

Hi,
You have made your demands and now I hope you can be patient enough to wait for that demand to be met by the PM. Just because a demand has been made, do you actually think that the government shall release all ISA detainees? What if in say, 2 weeks time, your demands fall on their deaf ears? What would you do then? Another hunger strike at KLCC or even the PM's office or the Parliament? Another so-called democratisation revolution? Why not hold a 100-day vigil outside the Kamunting detention camp? Throw in another hunger strike and bring your kids along with their teddy bears as gifts to the officers at the detention center for good measure. Who knows, the UN may impose an economic sanction at Malaysia for the so-called 'ethnic cleansing' or 'mini genocide' and the British can come over and rescue you and make you filthy rich, eh?
Your website did not state your mission. Don't tell me your mission is based on a few ILLEGAL temples being demolished? What is it that you folks want, actually? State what you want clearly in your website - please. Whether you can have what you want, is another matter. Maybe if all else fails, you can think about migrating - like what many other dissatisfied former Malaysians have done before. Who knows the foreign country may have Tamil schools and allow you folks to set a political party of your own? Good luck.

If your pissed with Samy Vellu, then fine but don't take it on the government and don't drag the general lot of the 'democracy loving Malaysians' along with you. Your foul memo to the British PM really disgusts many of us. Your HINDRAF 5 were ISA-ed because they masterminded the November 2007 demonstration. The question is, don't the Hindraf 5 think that they can just go on demonstrating at their whims and fancies? So, you conduct a demo and the govt bites you back. Yeah.. it ain't fair because they've used the ISA on you but then again, you should have been more civil in making your demands. Carrying posters and demanding to look into the eyes of the prime minister while making your demands makes you folks look like fools.
I'd like to know from HINDRAF - the definition of the HINDRAF-democracy.. yeah.. the democracy from HIDRAF's perspective. You wanna fight your cause? Fine.. then do it civilly and don't make a bollywood movie, ok? One more thing, if UMNO is that authoritarian, why the heck did you folks go and look in the eyes of the head honcho of this UMNO fella and make your pathetic demands? Another episode in your drama?

Hi Anoymous
What the hell are you talking about man. Do you realise that you are only exposing your ignorance along with your arrogance. Wake up man. This is the 21st Century. Do you know the meaning of democray. Please ,please do something useful

I'm not ashamed to exposed my ignorance and arrogance, as much as you folks aren't ashamed to expose your foolishness and antics...

I am doing something useful. I'm provoking you folks. If you think you can provoke me with your memo to the British PM, I don't see any reason why I shouldn't provoke you.

You think you can get everyone to sympathize with you just because Samy Vellu hasn't been treating you right? Just because some illegal temples got demolished? Yeah.. sure we sympathize but when you sent that memo to UK, well, all that sympathy went down the drain and you're now similar to that group in Sri Lanka. The only difference is, you are not well funded, otherwise you could have bought the necessary ammo and become martyrs.

Anyways, I wonder what might happen if the PR takes over and you still can't get what you want (which is still unclear to me to date).. More teddy bears to be delivered, I guess.

Hi Anonymous
You are great . You don't give up, do you.
Where does Sammy (Who) fits into your argument. He is a non entity to us. Leave his soul alone
I am not trying to shout you up. As you know you and your government are the masters of this. I can promise you one thing, truth will win the day.
Please do not talk about legal and illegal temples, because you do not seem to understand simple facts, leave alone legal matters. Another thing what is wrong in writting to the British Authorities. Truth hurts!!!
Under ISA your people are doing the maximum damage too the fabrique of Malaysian Society.Malysians are great people
Please take time to question your conscience my friend.
May the good lord protect you

Samy was supposed to look after the welfare of the Malaysian Indians in particular. I'm pissed at him also. If he had done his job right, then there's no need for HINDRAF to be formed.

You said that I don't understand simple facts about illegal temples being demolished? Okay. Make me understand then. Please take your time to compose your essay also. You can also throw legal matters in your reply. I may not be a lawyer but I'm quite educated and I got a bunch of lawyer friends, some of them Indians, who I can rely on to assist me in understanding the various acts.

Though it may seem defensive on my part to say that I too am unhappy with the way the current government is going, that doesn't mean that I must support or sympathize with whatever foolish thing that people who are opposed to this government do. Pro or anti govt, if you have done something foolish, then be prepared to be criticized.

Hello Anonymous

Yes you are very right on Sammy. If our leaders(on All sides) as you say have done their bit we would not be in this sad situation.
I believe in live and let live.
The world is a big enough place for all of us.
So let us all work for common good of man kind.
There is so much hatred in this world. This is mainly as I see it is , because of ignorance and fear.

Let us all pray for some good solution for the Malaysian problem
and allow all Malaysians to live in harmony

Unlawful
That's what your organization is.

Therefore, fight your fight silently without the bollywood-like drama.

To the chief of Hindraf, don't worry ok? You can come back here safely. No one wants to kill you. You'll probably be visited by the Special Branch and who knows, might spend some time in Kamunting. Be a man. You've been a coward for far too long already.
